I have officially completed my 10th yoga class in 14 days. I've done 9 Bikram classes and one Trance Dance class that made me sweat possibly more than Bikram. I have missed several classes because of work scheduling and needing rest days. Yesterday, I attempted my 10th class but we had a mishap before class began (Chad and I went together and it turns out, they don't accept checks as a form of payment, whoops!). But I have not been deterred by my breaks in between. In fact, a new realization came early in the process. I don't only want to be a 21 dayer... taking care of the body is a life long practice and I've signed on the dotted line. I have been doing a series of detoxes in an effort to jolt my system into health. Enough with the detox, how about practice and enjoyment and watching myself build strength. Yoga is helping me do that inside and out. Right now, I am continuing with the Bikram regimen until I head to Atlanta for my monthly Hair Extravaganza! When I return, I am going to incorporate several kinds of practices. Trance Dance is by far the most fun I have ever had in a studio. Plus, Chad was trancing out next to me. And Vinyasa flow is a wonderful form of movement and power. I even have a friend that is a yoga instructor and we are trading beautiful locks for a private session every month. Lots of fun and power in my future. Soon I will be a stretchy pretzel that is in love with the practice of loving your body!
Where is your power hanging out today?
